That’s the BYU take. All negative. Yet…
All you’re really doing is focusing on Utah‘s losses. As if all other schools go undefeated. Or don’t have similar flaws

Here’s a much different take.

Is anyone in the west genuinely playing better football right now?

UU just finished 2021 as the highest ranked team, even after losing a freshmen all American sensation to tragedy.

UU is ranked higher in composite preseason rankings than all west and non blue blood teams going into 2022.

Utah just dominated P12 king Oregon twice on national TV. Nearly 5MM viewers both games.

Since full inclusion in the p12 in 2014, has won more games and lost fewer than every P12 program; and everyone in the west.

Swept the south division in 2021 - and has won the division last 3 full seasons. Favored to win a 4th.

5 consecutive wins against UCLA an average margin of victory of 27 points. Also 5 win streak vs. CU and AZ.

Lost to Oregon State in 2021 but has won 5 out of the last 6 vs OSU.

Lost to BYU in 2021 but 9 out of 10 games, hasn’t lost in Salt Lake City since 2007.

In fact, hasn’t lost to a nonconference opponent at Rice Eccles since 2007.

Win 20 out of the last 22 games at home

Since joining the Pac12 has the best out of conference record in the west and one of the top 8 in the country.
