Both of those conferences are still packed with bluebloods, while the BIG12 doesn't have a single one. But MAYBE it strengthens the BIG12 enough to prevent a new upper division of CFB. Does ESPN/FOX really want to push Oregon down a level?

Yes it is. It's not an elite brand, but it is definitely "major" (tier 2)
