How many BIG schools then have won in Columbus like Oregon just did? Utah also won at the Big house. Twice.
Then again at RES. In fact, I think KW has scoreboard on several 2021 conference champs Alabama, Pitt, USU and... Michigan.

It's just a lack of opportunity playing those teams. W. was POTUS last time an OOC team beat Utah in SLC.

I think most people give Utah the benefit of the doubt last year. As evidenced by the high exit rankings and early preseason love.

BYU fans place way too much emphasis on the first two games. But after losing a superstar RB to tragedy and with last year's QB1 recovering from injury, it makes sense a rebuilding Utah would take a few games to find offensive identity.

That's all it was. The SDSU second half was a completely different team.

Taking tOSU to the final plays was awesome for a non-blue blood. I think the early preseason love reflects how much respect that garnered. (Only BYU fans think it's embarrassing. I don't think BYU fans understand the delta between the truly elite schools and everyone else.)

This despite losing the QB at a critical time — changed the whole game plan — and playing an RB at corner. (Depth issues as Utah lost a CB to a shooting and another in the P12 CCG; extra game tOSU didn't have to play).
