Tier 2 (regional & conf networks) charge a fee to every subscribing household in
their markets. For “out of market” subscribers the fee is much less.
Example: if you live within the SEC footprint and the SEC network is included somewhere in your bundle of cable, satellite, or streaming choices then you are paying about $1.50 a month whether you watch it or not. If you are out of market but still get the SEC network you cost is about $0.20 a month. Adding markets can be very lucrative within tier 2
