Down a rabbit hole of podcasts and documentaries on the Salem Witch Trials and
the English Witch ‘Century of Murder’ in the 1500s and early 1600s

In Salem 25 were executed in 12 months in 1692-1693. In England and Scotland, more than 2000 people were executed during a 100 year span (1560 to about 1670). It was totally hysterical—based largely on gossip of teenage girls and the superstition of adults.

Really really crazy and interesting what fear and superstition can do.

I’d of course heard of Salem and in passing heard of the British witch hunts, but digging in has been really fascinating.

Also, teenage girls can be legit evil.
