However, he has not been convicted of any crimes. He settled the majority of the cases and only has a few remaining. I really don't like the precedent of suspending/punishing someone for allegations (even if they are true). In general, I don't like work/social punishments being handed down by companies or individuals. Again, I think he is a creep, disgusting, and so on but I don't like it.
What message is being sent here? 'Hey, Deshaun. We know you manhandled a bunch of women, possibly assaulted them, so the pain caused to these women is worth less than half a season of punishment.' If he is guilty, he should face legal punishment. If he is not guilty, OR, settles the cases without any admission of guilt, then I don't think the NFL should step in.
I might be in the minority here.
