I read it as, in the same way that NBC basically owns Sunday night football, NBC would also have a comparable
Big10 marquee game on Saturday night. When people want to watch football on Sunday night, they go to NBC, and they’re trying to duplicate that for Saturday.
I think that may be hard to do. It all depends on the Big 10’s ability to schedule great games for nearly every week of the season. It also depends on what the other conferences and networks are doing with their 4pm Eastern time slot. NBC won’t have a monopoly, so they’ll just have to have better games than everyone else.
