I’m so sorry. That’s just sad how things are now. He should stick with it! I had similar experiences. I went to a new school knowing no one for only 2 days. (Went through all the same things that your son is going through) The cliques groups everything was so bad I transferred back to my old school. After that, I wanted to help my peers that were alone, rejected, and just in need of a buddy. I saw this Shorter kid with frizzly hair getting poked at and made fun of by the “cool” “popular” boys. After I talked to him. We had some classes together during Middle school and he’s such a nice kid, but just goes through so much at school just because of his appearance. Later in High school, we don’t have any classes together but I make sure to talk to him whenever we cross paths. While my dad was parked at the Seminary building waiting for me, he saw the kid and talked to him. He said school was terrible, but my dad mentioned my name and his face lit up. He said I was so nice and that I was his best friend. After I came out and got in the car my dad told me the story. It feels so good just to know that the little things are making a difference. Sorry. A little off topic but wanted to share that. Good luck to your son!
