Perhaps the biggest testament to what a masterpiece BCS is: (spoilers)
The fact that when I look at Saul Goodman, one of most compelling characters in arguably the best tv show ever (and one that I’ve re-watched a couple times) I genuinely think of him as Jimmy McGill.

Whenever I talk to people about the show, I instinctively call him Jimmy. I’m watching these last few episodes wondering what’s going to become of Jimmy.

The transition is seamless. You can nitpick about “plot holes” or people behaving out of character, but there are very few and they’re all arguable. They even took what could’ve been a throwaway line from BB about Nacho and Lalo and over several seasons masterfully built a deep back story that perfectly fit that scene.

The same people who created brutally psychotic BB villains like Gus and Tuco and constant life-or-death drama in that show created six seasons of riveting drama surrounding a brother’s struggle for approval, a man’s debilitating mental illness manifesting as an allergy to electricity, Albuquerque state bar/local law firm politics, a bank’s quest to expand across America, two young attorneys’ disillusionment with private law practice and corporate America, a toxic, destructive relationship between a man and a woman, and fate linking up a morally flexible attorney with the Cartel.

I’m gonna be really sad to see this story come to a close. I really don’t see any compelling story lines to rival Jimmy for another spin-off but I’d sure love to be proven wrong.
