Okay dude. Yawn all you want. I have never paid a cent in credit card interest
and have used my credit card points to pay thousands towards various vacations our family has taken. Came out way ahead there.

Also, I took out some student loans for grad school. Paid them off in 5 years due in large part because my earning potential increased dramatically. We loved very frugally both before and after grad school to keep loans down and have reaped the benefits of higher earning power much sooner than I could have had I waited to save up and pay for school with cash.

These are just 2 examples where Ramsey’s principles would have resulted in less financial freedom for me and my family had I followed his plan. So like I said, for the financially undisciplined, these rules will help because only a fool would carry credit card debt. However, if you are disciplined, it is indisputable that you can reap some significant benefits from using a credit card.
