I need to get back on the weights, and two of my kids are high school athletes and really want to work out at home. I just bought a power rack and adjustable incline bench. I found some used bumper plates as well as some unused open-box adjustable dumbbells on FB marketplace. I have a full sized Olympic barbell as well as a slightly shorter barbell that has a slightly thinner bar diameter and a shorter plate-loading sleeve (my HS daughter and middle-school son will probably use this one). I covered part of our garage floor with rubber horse stall mats to protect the floors and bumpers from drops. Plenty of exercise bands. We already have an elliptical as well as an exercise bike. What else do you regularly use at the gym and that you think would be good in a home gym?
I don't have a curl bar (when I was lifting regularly I never really used one) but I can GUARANTEE my son will want one. He'll probably ask to put up mirrors ASAP too. And I think I wouldn't mind a TV. What else?
