I don’t know if I’d go that far. If you can throw it tight, throw it tight. It’s true that taking a little velocity off
of short throws makes it easier on them.

I played receiver for a D1/NFL QB, and one of the complaints against him early on in college was that he was putting too much on short passes.

I don’t know. We didn’t have a problem with them. If your receivers learn to catch fast passes, less time in the air just gives defender lass time to close.
