Visiting my in-laws, and it’s 81° upstairs even though the thermostat is set to 73. The compressor seems to be running
Fine and is blowing out hot air, but there is nothing coming out of any of the vents inside.
They have a guy coming on Tuesday to do a “Freon boost” which I’m 99% sure is a scam. They’ve already been scammed I’m pretty sure when a guy (not sure if it’s the same guy coming on Tuesday or not) told them both of their compressors needed new motors.
So if the compressor is running, they’ve got clean filters everywhere, and the thermostat is calling for fan w/cooling, what else is a likely culprit?
