Incorrect. You are thinking of a direct democracy where those types of things
are on ballots and voted on my the people. We are a republic. We vote for a person not a stimulus package or a pandemic (that isn't even something that can be voted on) or a war (again, something that couldn't be voted on when its not our war) etc.
In fact the stimulus packages and pandemic began before a vote even happened silly goose.

And furthermore, there are republicans that won elections all over the country in 2020 and they are all over our government. You might think that they aren't allowed to come up with ideas or to legislate but they actually are.

I do wish we used a direct democracy more though. Big issue in our country that we are divided on? Why not simply vote on it rather than let a handful of government employees argue about it until the end of time. Maybe things would get done then.

Vote on marijuana legalization, abortion, the border wall, etc. If my side loses the vote then im fine with it. At least i had a voice and the citizens decided.
