Seeing as technology changes every seven minutes and I have officially become my dad as it pertains to technology I, of course, turn to the board for some insights. Years ago I bought a Clean Router system for our house to filter out some of the crap that is filterable. It has been fine, near as I can tell, but I have not nosed around in that space for a while. Do any of you have any recommendations for a good router that effectively filters out crap without getting too restrictive (over-filtering)?

Also, a couple of years ago I bought an Eero Mesh system with three hubs or whatever they're called, which we placed in different spots around the house. Something was going on with our Wifi, so we had the Cox guy come out and check out our system, which ended up being outdated and he replaced it. He then went throughout the house to test our signal and speed. He said that the Cox signal was at full capacity, but by contrast, the Eeros reduced the speed dramatically, like sub 100. What are your thoughts on Mesh systems to strengthen the base signal? He said something along the lines that the EEro would increase the signal, but decrease the speed. We're not heavy users, we don't game, we don't work from home, we need good speed to do normal computer stuff, watch Apple TV, an Ipad, and cell speed. That's really it. Curious on your thoughts?
