Maybe a year or so ago, Juli had to put Pauline in a care facility. Pauline had the beginnings of dementia, to go along with her addictions and other demons.

One day, while Juli was down with surgery, unable to drive, Pauline told her she really wanted In N Out. Juli posted on Facebook, wondering if anybody in the area could help out. In N Out doesn't do any kind of delivery.

I saw the Facebook post, and posted on CB to find out if there was some sort of service that could do that. A CBer reached out to me, said he worked near there, and was happy to buy and deliver exactly what Pauline wanted. He did this twice, and both times refused to let me Venmo him.

Juli was both completely shocked and yet very touched that a total stranger would go out of his way to show this kindness to her mom. The awesome power of CB came through.
