I’m really worried the success of the last two years may be a smoke screen.

Outside of a Utah team that (as much as I hate to admit it) hadn’t found it’s stride, can we say we beat any team that is as strong as Baylor, Oregon, Note Dame or Arkansas are projected to be this season?

While a tough schedule provides incredible opportunity, I’m trying to tell myself that a 3-4 record 7 games in is not only a real possibility, but just as likely, if not more likely, than 5-2 or better.

The optimism is nice though. I’m especially excited for this offense. I’m just worried the optimism is going to trick me into being devastated even if we are competitive in losing efforts against this high level competition.
