Old timers will remember the tradition of throwing the ball from a made FG or EP around the stadium. I was about 3 ft
from a 90+ year old guy who got blindsided in the head from a ball thrown by a fan from about 40 yards away. I was trying to catch it but couldn't get there. Blood went everywhere. I can't imagine that he survived much longer after that.
