- use two slices and have two open face sandwiches if you can't live without the bread
- make yourself lettuce roll ups with your sandwich meats.
- I love to make tuna salad and eat it in lettuce leaves
- I take different sandwich means and either roll them around a small stick of cheese, or I put cream cheese in the middle and roll it up
- double hamburger patties with grilled onions & gravy w/ veggies (this is easy to make the night before and put in a reheat tray)
- chicken breast/thigh the beauty of chicken breast is you can season it a million ways to get variety, learn to brine 6-8 breasts, the grill them all a little differently, you can use these to eat alone, in strips with a dip, or add veggies
- bacon, yes eat bacon which means a BLT is cool if you are going with a sandwich, add avocado for a BLAT
- EGGS - I probably have 2-3 eggs fried, scrambled at least once a week if not twice. You can still afford grilled onions, tomatoes, etc, with them
- Steak - why not? pre-cook it, leave it about medium rare, then reheat in the microwave to bring it right to med/med well with some veggies.\
Low card doesn't mean NO carb, I'm a diabetic and I still get carbs with my protein and fat (which is the way the Dr wants you to consume them), but you can have a high protein lunch pretty easy.
