Passed a big professional milestone today
I finally hit 500 followers on Linkedin!!! This means that now people will see "500+" instead of the exact amount of followers I have.

It is a huge weight off my shoulders and helps me to feel like less of an imposter when I share my hard-earned experience and wisdom.

I've only been at the Linkedin game for a couple of years, but here are some tips for how you can fast-track your follower count.

1. Post five times per day to ensure constant exposure.

2. Make it personal! Three out of every five posts should be personal in nature. Let people get to know your authentic self.

3. One out of every five posts should be an inspirational quote.

4. The last post should be a mind-blowing drop of business insight that keeps them coming back for more.

5. Comment on posts by thought leaders to get exposure to their networks. If anyone wants to do this to my posts, I'm totally ok with it.

6. Post pictures of yourself in various situations such as holding your new baby while shirtless, crying over a tough decision, or crying because the grind is hard.

7. Some popular hashtags I like to use are #grinding #grindr #marriedtothegrind #utes hitting.

8. Posting selfie videos can be good, but only if you're out exercising and can share a sweaty secret that occurred while the endorphins were flowing.

9. Write posts with one sentence per line. The algo loves it and it ensures people will read your content.

10. Make it a goal to become friends with at least one other LinkedinFluencer per week. It's fun to comment back and forth on each other's stuff to help each other gain exposure!
