Fortunately, he had the wherewithal to find an adult and ask for help after his own few minutes of efforts to find me failed.
We had all of the emergency crews on alert and an announcement made by the MC. God bless good people (which I believe to be most people).
It was a short period of time and felt like an eternity, but I still can't comprehend what it would feel like to have to suffer through an abduction or other incident where my kids couldn't be located. I still feel sick to my stomach.
Anyways, use my experience as a reminder to review with your youngins what they should do if they are lost and review a phone number or two with them - especially with school starting up.
