Spent my weekends driving up and down the coast seeing lighthouses and some of the cool sights. Some highlights:
- Acadia is awesome. I went in the dead of winter with no crowds. I’m sure it’ll be an amusement park this time of year but definitely some unique scenery you won’t find elsewhere.
- Lobster rolls everywhere
- Noteworthy lighthouses: Nubble, Pemaquid Point, Portland Head, Bass Harbor (Acadia), Rockland Harbor Breakwater Light, West Quoddy (way up on the northeast tip of Maine) - way out of the way but some nice hiking up there probably far less crowded than Acadia around Cutler Maine
- original LL Bean store in Freeport
