How are injured players' availabilty to play decided @ BYU? I have imagined the
1st input is from the doctor. If he says this player is not medically cleared to play, that ends the discussion.

If permitted by the doctor, then my guess is that the coach asks the player does he feel fit enough to play. Then the coach decides whether he wants to play a guy who says he feels 80% well enough to play.

Which brings me to Puka. Versus USF we were told he could have returned if needed, leading us to believe he would be well enough with PT to play vs Baylor. We then get the day to day line but see pictures of Puka out at the golf course with no boot on.

Surely he'll play vs Oregon. Same day to day dance all week long and he doesn't play again. I'm guessing Puka wants to play knowing that sitting out more games this season does not help his NFL draft stock at all.

Anybody know who or what's keeping Puka benched (beyond that he sprained his ankle)?
