He was offered really young- like 8th grade by a school- lots of hype. Plays on a lesser program that never competes with the best programs and mostly run the ball as is. Probably a great kid but isn’t considered a top player in Oregon at this point.
There is a better LDS QB in the area although class of ‘23 who is committed to Washington state- Leavitt, yes related to some other Leavitts we know. But kid is a baller and can throw it and move well. Plays at West Linn.
There are some other nice LDS players in the area as well.
There is a Doman at Canby who is related to some of the Oregon domans that have played at BYU.
Also, Tualatin (home of Luke Staley) who competes with west Linn for top public football program last couple years in Oregon along with the two big private catholic schools, has an LDS sophomore- calvin evans- starting at DB, getting reps at WR behind two p12 offered wideouts and does all their kicking. I believe he has lots of BYU and P12 athlete posterity.
There may be others but I’m tied into the three rivers league which is like SEC of Oregon football with WL and Tualatin fighting it out.
