No clue on how good their team is, but from a business and network standpoint, that is a home run. He really wanted to go to BYU, but they weren't interested in his golf and he really wants to play. He had some other offers, but nothing close to the prestige of USC. USC is completely in support of his mission first plans too. Weird that he won't be golfing until 2026, but USC is OK with that. He is a great kid.
His dad went to Santa Clara and converted when we were youngsters. Me and his dad were really hoping for BYU. I was going to retire and be one of his groupies and tag along to all of the tournaments. Oh well. New plans.
