I like this post... I like what Kalani had to say... I feel a little empty as a
fan.

I do suppose that those of us that embrace the Restored Gospel are striving to live by the doctrine of Christ. In which case, I see that I "must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men".

I believe this is the spirit of this post and what Kalani was trying to convey. I'm a little sad about the situation, but its born out of my love for BYU football and my multi-generational (dangerously unbalanced) desire to see the school and its teams succeed. It could be that Dallin has felt some inspiration that is good for him AND good for the chemistry of the team. I have to believe that there is room for Dallin to pursue his dreams in his own way and for BYU to succeed by the pursuit of its own mission.

Perhaps we'll see an increased measure of team chemistry on Saturday night as the team unitedly sends those Cowboys home without their Chaps.

A little hope sure feels good. I'm still working on the "perfect brightness" part.

Oh... and always remember: When the chips are down, the buffalo's empty!
