this is a big issue in the south for companies. It's unfortunate as most hate
the people that take advantage of it because it hurts the great people that are willing to do the right thing in the long run.

Settlement. Insurance deductible is $25K, so they aren't being that magnanimous.

The alternative would be to go ahead and fight it. If a case has no merits, fight it and win at sum. judgment

Problem is that these cases are generally filed in federal court. Federal Courts don't generally award fees that often.
