Remember that RBs also have to help in pass protection and know plays/assignments generally. So it's hard to fault
the coaches for not playing him earlier when there are indications that he wasn't fully ready in that regard.
On the other hand, it was pretty clear to me early on that Brooks wasn't the answer and we needed someone to step up at some point.
