I still can't get over the free 1st down Wyoming got 1 yard short

In this image, the yellow line is accurate (at least within an inch or two). The place where the Wyoming player is on the ground is the furthest forward he got (more or less). He never got within 1 yard of the line to gain.
The ref at the bottom is lined up where he believes the ball should be spotted. He's a yard short of the first, but for some reason he's also signalling first down.

That was just one example of how bad they were, but it was a particularly egregious one. I can't remember the last time
