His stats for rushing, before yesterday, were …
… 89 yards on 16 carries, all against scrub teams from 2020. That is a good average per carry, but the competition was suspect, as was the competition yesterday. Davis had about the same YPC carry yesterday, if you take out the one 70 yard run, that he had previously. I know, some will say you cannot take out that rush. But with such a small sample size, it is sort of an outlier. I am just saying I am not sure what we can expect from him against tougher competition. I hope he proves my suspicions wrong. I suspect he may not be ready to be THE RB1 for another year, if ever. My point is just that a lot of people seem to think we found our #1 RB after yesterday. I am skeptical of that is all. It looked like he was soft on inside runs when he did not have a lot of space or an angle to use his speed to get around the defender.
