- it would cost more due to the phased construction, not to mention needing to protect the field and other sides during construction.
- Partial stadium capacity for over half a decade (including eliminating half of the premium sideline seats for two full seasons)
- a new stadium that isn't quite what you really wanted due to having to work with what's there now


There are other sites in Provo. I've heard a couple mentioned. My perfect preference would be one that puts Y mountain directly in the background. Imagine putting controllable LED lighting around the Y for TD celebrations, and it was directly visible from the west stands. Anyway, that's probably a dream scenario.


But, yeah. For me, if you're gonna do it, do it right.
