I thought they were just going to keep running the clock on incompletions, the first I heard it.

But essentially they're treating an incompletion the same as they would a 1st down - stop the clock until the ball is set.

And even then, they're still talking about stopping the clock the same they do now for the last 2 minutes of the half and last 5 minutes of regulation - so you'll still get those 2 minute drills at the end of each half with the clock stopping on an incompletion until the ball is hiked.

Doesn't seem to change the game a ton - but it will shorten it some.
