Second half adjustments against Wyoming
I will admit I was at the game and haven’t rewatched yet but my perspective on two changes in the second half that made all the difference.

1) Hanneman didn’t see the field much (or maybe at all) and Micah Harper did. We really need a physical SS who will take on the ball carrier instead of one content to take on a blocker instead…

2) Our DEs were setting the edge instead of our OLBs (which it seemed they were in the first half) which kept them more between the tackles. Our backers were not getting the edge set in time. We shut down their first two possessions and then once we built that three score lead they had to abandon the run.

I will point out that the dynamic of the game didn’t change THAT much until the third Wyoming possession of the second half. I saw some people on here saying they had to abandon the run right away after HT. This was not true. We stopped the run and that stopped their O. We scored when we got the ball and THAT forced them to abandon it; not just the offense alone.
