* Photography. Start taking pictures of your kids/family, or your kids running around chasing a ball, or your family pet.
* Coaching. Volunteer to coach your kid (and others) on how to chase around a ball.
* Home Renovation. There are always 1000 things to do around the house. Take a deep dive and turn a repair into a renovation.
* Camping / Fishing / Hiking with the family.
* Off Roading. (My kids screamed and cried the first, and last, time we did this)
* Video Games. Until you've gone into battle with your little kid in a Lego(or other age-appropriate) video game you won't understand the memories it will create.
* RC Cars. My boys and I would spend hours working on, racing, and crashing (the repeat) 'hobby level' RC Cars.
... and many other hobbies that INCLUDE your family.
A Hobby doesn't have to be a solo project.
