Yes, there will be more conference games to broadcast, but the networks own the rights to both conference and non-conference games. They won’t magically get extra games, unless the conference was only scheduling away 1 and dones (which they aren’t).

Maybe they’re just saying that a 10 game schedule means they won’t schedule non compelling matchups against lower tier teams? So the matchups will be more compelling and they don’t have to choose between Michigan/UConn and Northwestern/So. Illinois and just broadcast Michigan/Northwestern?
