1. BYU has got to improve significantly on stopping the run. The 1st half was terrible.

2. Penalties led directly to 3 USU scores.

3. BYU should have had at least 13 more points (Romney drop in EZ & two missed FGs by Oldroyd.

4. Jay Hill is an outstanding coach. Weber State beat USU 35-7 in Logan earlier this season.

5. Just getting through the game without a season-ending injury to our QB is a win.

I never felt like the outcome of the game was in doubt, but BYU should be able to shut down a terrible USU team playing with their backup QB. And BYU should be able to run the ball at will against a team like Utah State. They did that in the 4th quarter, but they had negative rushing yards in the 1st half. Totally unacceptable. Why wouldn't you try to get pressure on a young, inexperienced QB? Makes no sense.

Glad for the win. BYU is 4-1. That's great. The next two games will be interesting.
