There is literally nothing to gain. If we win 100-0 nobody really cares because it was Utah State. If we lose, it wrecks our whole season. We usually play worse than what we are capable of. They usually play better than what they are capable of. We play vanilla the whole game. Our guys play undisciplined and throw shoes and rip off helmets because they know penalties won't cost them the game. Our QB often gets injured or at the very least there is a super dirty play which could result in a season ending injury. Watching the game just feels like a chore and we grind out an ugly win. Everyone goes home feeling down on our team. The only way it is enjoyable is if we win 45-7, otherwise it feels ho-hum.
