Sorry you didn’t love it. I loved it. There are plenty of church leaders and people in the church that I totally don’t see eye-to-eye with and there can be friction.

What do you mean, think differently?

Immense pressures, I never felt those. The church is all volunteer. We just do our best and sometimes we don’t. We learn hard lessons and move forward.

My love of learning started with my conversion, and was strengthened at BYU. Did you want to be “challenged?” Like you wanted to find gaps in people institutions or revealed truth and light? Probably not the place, because it’s easy to find gaps especially given our finite perspectives.

The temptation of to appear rather than to be is ubiquitous across all humanity. True Integrity is hard. Agree toxic environments can be found everywhere, and it’s usually when people want to appear successful rather to have to do right.
