we would be able to add at least one more member to our recruiting staff. Maybe even two. Which one would you prefer?.....uniforms that have nothing to do with BYU's colors and tradition or have at least one more, well paid person out hunting for talented new recruits? No, this is not a TIC comment.
And by "non-BYU" I mean uniforms other than this:
Home: white pants w/ blue stripes, blue jerseys w/ white stripes, standard white helmet w/ blue stripes and blue stretch Y.
Away: blue pants w/ white stripes, white jerseys w/ blue stripes, standard white helmet w/ blue stripes and blue stretch Y.
Mix/something different: white pants w/ blue stripes, white jerseys w/ blue stripes, standard white helmet w/ blue stripes and blue stretch Y.
Yes, this is what we wore during LaVell's years (other than the all-white). No, I don't care that "kids today like all the different uniforms." All I'm saying is that a lot of you who routinely complain about being underfunded, and in particular, under-staffed in our recruiting department, think it's smart to throw money at something that really doesn't matter. Do you want more talent to WIN or do you want to supposedly look cool?
If anyone has verifiable info on what these "cool" uniforms cost for 85-105 players and can prove me wrong, pls share it, but I bet I'm right. This stuff ain't cheap.
