When I was in Kingman Arizona last year, I ate lunch to Carl’s Jr. which is where the Tesla supercharging station is
There were at least 20 Tesla’s vying for the 5-6 charging spots. One owner told me he had been there almost 3 hours before he got his car in the charger.

Stopping 4 times and waiting 1 hour and 40 min (assuming no lines) sounds ridiculous. Particularly in the desert.
