system. This guy did a 10kw system for $11.5k!!! After rebates that would have cost $6.9k where I live. That's about a 2 year payoff with my electric usage and rates. Some of the things he did to save a lot of money is buying a pallet of clearance solar panels. There's various places online where they're available. He also bought a lot of his microinverters new in box from ebay, which saved a ton of money as well. Just crazy how much you can save doing something like this yourself. I didn't do DIY because I have a pretty steep metal roof that is about a million times more dangerous to work on than a standard asphalt shingle roof. Just wasn't worth the risk for me personally.
