1. Jaren Hall (our great QB this year). His dad, Kalin Hall was a great running back at BYU in the years 1992-1993. I might add that this just might be our best running back combination ever as
not only did we have Kalin, but we had Jamal Willis, who was 6'3" and 220 lbs. Both of these guys were superstars.
2. Blake Freeland (our left tackle and future NFL player). His mother is Debbie Diamond, a 6'3" center for the womens basketball team in 1994-95. She tallied 1,704 points in her career — seventh highest point total in BYU women's basketball history. She was Kodak All-American Honorable Mention in 1993, and married Jim Freeland, who played football and ran track for BYU from 1994-95.
3. Isaac Rex (our sensational 6'6" tight end). His dad, Byron Rex, was 6'2" and 240 lb, and was a tight end at BYU and played from 1986 | 1989-1992. He was was quite a player as well.
Byron had the following stats: 24 games played, 86 receptions, 1223 yard in receptions, 14.22 yards per reception, 49 yards was his longest reception, and scored 7 touchdowns.
There are probably other family members that were stars at BYU, but this is what I have today (also, I don't follow other sports such as swimming, wrestling etc and there are so many.
