With the exception of a few movies like Lord of the Rings,
What I consider a great movie doesn’t usually jive with what the Academy considers to be a great movie.
Top Gun: Maverick was easily the best movie of the past several years for me.

Good movie. Most fun doesn't mean best. Not a great story at all. Third act was garbage. Good, fun, and rewatchable
