It really isn't difficult. I think those that haven't used electric cars overstate the difficulty of stopping at charging stations.
Yes, it does add some time to a long trip. Yes, it is cheaper. Yes, the effective range isn't equal to many ICE cars.
I think electric vehicles will really take off when there is a true range of around 400 plus miles. At that point you are in the same neighborhood as most ICE vehicles and it would be hard to justify the extra expense of gas and the extra expense of maintenance on a gas engine.
