For those who didn't keep up with how that all went down:

Stanford was supposed to have the 1 second on the clock because clock stopped when they got the first down. Refs had to stop play to tell the clock operator to put the 1 second on. Stanford's plan was to snap right on the refs whistle, but we called a timeout instead.

That is not true. Because the officials had to put more time on the clock, the clock does not start until the snap.
