It was absolutely a giant mistake by Kalani to take a timeout there.
Refs resetting the clock is understandable and he should know that. Stanford lucked out that the game clock ran to :00, but that happens all the time.
Calling the timeout when Stanford would have had :01 to snap after a firedrill change was incredibly stupid.
