What I mostly hear on CB is that recruiting is marginal, that Kalani isn’t an Xs and Os guy, that he hired too many of his buddies despite their lack of qualifications, that he’s not a disciplinarian, that his defensive strategy is flawed and that he’s not good at clock management.
And yet, his overall record is good, despite a disappointing record this year. So, how did he achieve the success he has had? Was it just luck, Wilson, good running backs and Grimes? Is there more? It seems there must be.
