In an alternate universe, when a reporter asked Zach Wilson if he deserves the
blame for the poor offensive play a week ago, he responded "Yes, as the leader of the offense, it's ultimately on me to get the offense to perform. I played poorly this week and made some bad throws and let my team down. I know I am a better player than I played today, so I'm working with my coaches and teammates to put the time in needed to play as well as I know I can play. It will be better next week." Robert Saleh then said that the team stands behind Zach and that he's making good progress this year even after such a terrible outing.

Then Zach started yesterday against the Bears and went on to throw for 350 yards and 3 TDs with no picks and ran for another TD, and everybody in the NY media and on Twitter all talked about how Wilson is going to be the next Joe Namath and is the future of the Jets and it's so great to see him battle through adversity to become a leader of the team.
