If your intent was to keep it long term and it simply didn't meet expectations
You shouldn't have any ethical questions about returning it. That's what the policy is for.
Now if you were just buying a couch because you were hosting Thanksgiving and didn't have enough seats for butts, and you had no intention of keeping it, that would be unethical.
