Kids make big decisions at 17 which impacts their whole lives, so if after some additional experience and new information, they elect to adjust their plans, they should be allowed to.
Sometimes, it's just a better fit and not an indictment of any person involved - athlete, staff, etc. I don't think Conover was "horribly mismanaged" when we've had Zach and Jaren. You could argue he should have been put in for injured Hall more, but I don't really know.
If Conover wants to go somewhere else after these years at BYU, I would be equally unsurprised and ok with it.
Maybe it's because the hurdle to transfer is lower, so the rationale to change doesn't have to feel so "drastic" as it once did, but I feel far less spurned by transfers than I ever have. BYU will get its share of transfers in too, so that evens out in the long run I think.
